Within an educational environment, iQuila can be used to provide secure Internet access on school devices for both Staff and Pupils.
By having iQuila software installed on its devices, an educational institution can ensure that any connection made by these devices is in line with their group policy and security. It also allows for devices to be controlled remotely and shut down if required.
If a school has an Internet filtering policy on its own network, this will be extended to all iQuila enabled devices and because of the way iQuila connects - the Kernel Mode Drivers allows the Client operating system to connect on boot up - iQuila cannot be uninstalled, disabled or worked around. It’s always on.
In Universities iQuila Enterprise can be used to provide Layer 2 point-to-point connectivity throughout the entire campus without the need for physical infrastructure between sites.
